Fisher, A ttomey for North Heights Lutheran Church <br /> <br />They discussed: insuring present R-l would remain as a buffer zone, access to <br />County Road C-2 and Woodbridge, drainage, height of buildings, air pollution by auto- <br />mobiles, parking on Woodbridge, traffic on Rice Street, C-2 and C to Dale, Tax problems, <br />more school children, sewage, water, four years to build, safety of children, high <br />density, recreation facilities, no parking signs on C-2 and Woodbridge, speed limit, <br />maintenance of buffer zone, extension of Iona Lane, when will landscaping be done, <br />buffer on C-2 traffic going through church property, drainage plan, proximity to church, <br />more buffer on south. <br /> <br />It was moved by Pope and seconded by Edlund that we recommend to the council approval <br />of the request for rezoning from Shopping Center District to R-7 and B-2 as requested. <br />Roll Call: unanimous. <br /> <br />It was moved by Pope and seconded by Edlund that we recommend to the council approval <br />of the request for variance to setback and density, and the special use permit for <br />planned unit development. Zimmerman request for variance to building code regarding air <br />con ltioners in apartments in Zimmerman Office Plot east of Pascal Avenue, north of <br />Coun ty Road B. <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Watson of General Electric and a Rosevil1e resident explained the problems with <br />having air conditioners flush mounted. Mr. Lyman Foss said that the other buildings <br />have air conditioners projecting from the building because he started building before <br />the code was adopted. <br /> <br />It was moved by Anderson and seconded by Pope that we grant the variance as requested <br />by the applicant for his apartments only. Roll Call: Ayes: ~1embrez, Anderson, <br />Remsburg, and Pope. Nays: Demos, Edlund, and Carpenter. <br /> <br />The Chairman appointed Mrs. June Demos to check with other Villages regarding air <br />conditioners and she is to report her findings at the next meeting at which time we <br />will discuss our air conditioning ordinance. <br />
