-5-

Planning File 773 - Ryder Truck Rental request for rezoning from I-I to 1-2 at 2580
Long Lake Road

Presentation

Mr. Jean Parranto, representing Ryder Truck Corporation, indicated that the property is
located in an area where much of the other property is zoned 1-2 at the present time. He
stated that the property was formerly used as storage and dump yard for Prestressed Concrete
Plant.

Discussion

Mr. Membrez stated he felt this would be a good development in Roseville.

Recommendation

Mr. Membrez moved and Mrs. Demos seconded, that the Commission recommend approval of
Ryder Truck Rental's request for rezoning from I-I to I-2 at 2580 Long Lake Road. Roll
Call, Ayes: Eagles, Kellett, G. Johnson, V. Johnson, Membrez, Demos and Pope. Nays: None.

Planning File 769 - Site Plan Treatment of LP Gas Tanks

Presentation

Mr. Dahlgren indicated that he had held conversations with the Village Fire Chief and
Village Fire Marshal regarding various ways to aesthetically treat the location of LP
gas tanks. He stated that after those discussions it was his opinion that an ordinance
could be developed which would require screening on two or three sides of the tank which
would satisfy the safety and aesthetic needs.

Roseville Fire Chief, Floyd LeCUyer, stated that the Fire Department was opposed to placing
the LP gas tanks undergrOtmd. He indicated that LP gas is heavier than air and if breakage
of lines undergrotuld should occur the gas seeps through the ground and it is impossible to
know where it is going or where it is once the break is discovered.

Recommendation

Mr. Membrez moved and Mr. V. Johnson seconded, that the Village Planner draft a proposed
ordinance regarding the site plan treatment of LP gas tanks which could be presented to
the Village Cotulcil for their consideration. Roll Call, Ayes: Eagles, Kellett, G.
Jolmson, V. Johnson, Membrez, Demos and Pope. Nays: None.

Planning File 771 - Review of Sign Ordinance

Reconnnendation

Mr. V. Johnson moved and Mr. Kellett seconded, that the review of sign ordinance be laid
over until the regular September Commission meeting. Roll Call, Ayes: Eagles, Kellett,
G.Johnson, V. Johnson, Membrez, Demos and Pope. Nays: None.
