<br />-5- <br /> <br />Mrso Cushing indicated that she could not see the need for granting a variance for a <br />sign larger than those signs already existing in the area. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Vo Johnson Moved and Mro Kellett Seconded, that White Truck's request for variance <br />to sign height, size and setback at 2845 Long Lake Road be continued until the January <br />Planning Commission meetingo Roll Call, Ayes: Durgin, Go Johnson, Vo Johnson, Kellett, <br />and Grauel. Nays~ Cushingo <br /> <br />Planning File 860 - LaRose Corporation request for special use permit at 1082 Dionne <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Dina, operator of the Dog Grooming establishment located in the Lexington Plaza Shop- <br />ping Center stated that it was necessary that she have a special use permit for the <br />operation of her business. She indicated that the owners of the Center had told her <br />there was no problem when she signed the 5 year lease. The establishment has been <br />open approximately 8 weeks. She stated that the business is strictly for dog grooming <br />and that no dogs are housed overnighto <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. Baron, 1067 Dionne, expressed concern about the dogs being walked in the vacant <br />property across from his house so that they could relieve themse1veso <br /> <br />Dina indicated that she or her employees do not walk the dogs there and that if it <br />was being done, it was by the owners of the dogs. She said she would be happy to <br />post a sign in her establishment aSking the customers not to walk their dogs in the <br />areao <br /> <br />Mr. Baron also was concerned about the amount of garbage and paper that exists in the <br />area of the shopping centero <br /> <br />Mr. North indicated that he would have the City's Code Enforcement Department take a <br />look at the situation to determine if the city codes were being met. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Go Johnson Moved and Mro Grauel Seconded, that the Commission recommend approval <br />of LaRose Corporation's request for special use permit at 1082 Dionne. Roll Call, <br />Ayes~ Cushing,Durgin, Go Johnson, Vo Johnson, Kellett and Grauel 0 Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 709 - Long Range City Development Plans <br /> <br />Mr. Durgin Moved and Mr. Grauel Seconded, that the Long Range Development Plan be <br />continued until the February Planning Commission meeting. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushing, <br />Durgin. G. Johnson, V. Johnson, Kellett and Grauel 0 Nays~ None. <br /> <br />Additional Business <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson Moved and Mro G. Johnson Seconded, that the regular January meeting <br />of the Planning Commision be held January 8, 19750 Roll Call, Ayes: Cushing, Durgin, <br />Go Johnson, Vo Johnson, Kellett, and Grauel 0 Nays: None. <br />
