<br />Rosevi11e Planning Commission <br />JA[ednesday, February 4, 1976 <br /> <br />The February 4, 1976, regular meeting of the Rosevi1le Planning Commission was called <br />to order by Chairman V. Johnson at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Hembers present: G. Johnson, Rukavina, Haste1, Cushing, and V. Johnson. Kellett ar- <br />rIven at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Memhers absent: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Staff present: <br /> <br />Hmvard I)ahl,g;ren, Terry Kramer, and Steve North. <br /> <br />Approval of minutes <br /> <br />Hr. Rukavina moved and Mrs. Cushing seconded that the minutes of the regular meeting <br />of January 7, 1976, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: G. Johnson, Rukavina, ~'1astel and <br />f:ushing, Nays: None. Abstained: V. Johnson. <br /> <br />Planning File 952 - Twin Tire Company request for variance to sign height and setback <br />at 2760 Fairview Avenue. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />~1r, Jim Pinkney, General ~1anager of the Twin Tire Company, indir~ted that since the <br />-last Commission meeting, he has met with ~1r. Dahlgren, City Planner. As a result of <br />that meeting, it has been determined that he is seeking only a variance to sign set- <br />back and not to sign height. The sign height will be the permitted 25 f~et. Hp <br />stated that he is seeking a variancp lvhich would permit the sign to be placed within <br />10 feet of the property line on Fairview Avenue. Mr. Pinkney indicated that he also <br />agrees to remove the following signs from the building: <br /> <br />1) One 8' x 10' roof sign. <br />2) One 5' x 6' wall sign on west side of building advertising Dunlop Tires. <br />3) Letters on the south side of building indicating Twin Tires, Inc., measuring <br />l~' x 12', <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Hr, Rukavina asked if the Twin Tire building had been in existance when Fairview Avenue <br />was widened. ~1r. Pinkney indicated that it had been. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />~1r. G. Johnson moved and Mr. Rukavina seconded that the Commission recommend approval <br />of Twin Tire Company request for variance to sign setback at 2760 Fairview Avenue with <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />1) That the 8' x 10' roof sign be removed. <br />2) That one 5' x 6' wall sign on the west side of the building advertising Dunlop <br />Tires be removed. <br />3) That the letters on the south side of the building indicating "Twin Tires, Inc." <br />and measuring 1~' x 12' be removed. <br />Ro 11 Call, Ayes: G.
