Johnson at 7:30 P.M. ~rs present: Cushing, Sim:>ns, Dressler, G. Johnson, Mastel, Rukavina and V. Johnson. ~rs absent: None Staff present: Council liaison Al Kehr, Havard Dahlgren, Ed M:::Guire and Steve North Approval of Minutes Mr. Rukavina roved and Mr. G. Johnson seconded, that the minutes of the regular ItEeting of ~cerrber 6, 1978, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushing, SiITOns, Dressler, G. Johnson, Mastel, Rukavina and V. Johnson. Nays: None. Planning File 1167 - Kline Volvo request for special use permit and variance to pennanent curb requireItEnt at 2755 IDng Lake Road Presentation Mr. Jean Parranto, representing Kline Volvo, indicated that they are applying for a special use permit to expand the parking area for the Kline Volvo dealer- ship onto a portion of the Mr. Print property. Mr. Parranto indicated that they are applying for a variance \\hich would permit the use of pre cast sections rather than the pennanent poured in place curb required by the City code. He stated that the variance is being requested because of the terrporro:y nature of the use of the property for parking. Mr. Parranto indicated that Kline Volvo has a two year lease for the use of the Mr. Print property with an option on an additional five years. Discussion Mr. V. Johnson asked if the additional runoff created by the asphalt parking lot would require approval by Rice Creek.. Mr. M:::Guire cormented that there would be very little additional runoff and that he saw no drainage problems with the proposal. Mr. V. Johnson asked if it 'WOuld be appropriate to place a tinE limit on the approval because of the terrporary use of the property. Mr. Dahlgren indicated that it would be appropriate to do so.
