Johnson at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />~rs present: Cushing, Sim:>ns, Dressler, G. Johnson, Mastel, Rukavina <br />and V. Johnson. <br /> <br />~rs absent: None <br /> <br />Staff present: Council liaison Al Kehr, Havard Dahlgren, Ed M:::Guire <br />and Steve North <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina roved and Mr. G. Johnson seconded, that the minutes of the <br />regular ItEeting of ~cerrber 6, 1978, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Cushing, <br />SiITOns, Dressler, G. Johnson, Mastel, Rukavina and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1167 - Kline Volvo request for special use permit and variance <br />to pennanent curb requireItEnt at 2755 IDng Lake Road <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Jean Parranto, representing Kline Volvo, indicated that they are applying <br />for a special use permit to expand the parking area for the Kline Volvo dealer- <br />ship onto a portion of the Mr. Print property. Mr. Parranto indicated that <br />they are applying for a variance \\hich would permit the use of pre cast sections <br />rather than the pennanent poured in place curb required by the City code. He <br />stated that the variance is being requested because of the terrporro:y nature of <br />the use of the property for parking. Mr. Parranto indicated that Kline Volvo <br />has a two year lease for the use of the Mr. Print property with an option on an <br />additional five years. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson asked if the additional runoff created by the asphalt parking <br />lot would require approval by Rice Creek.. <br /> <br />Mr. M:::Guire cormented that there would be very little additional runoff and <br />that he saw no drainage problems with the proposal. <br /> <br />Mr. V. Johnson asked if it 'WOuld be appropriate to place a tinE limit on the <br />approval because of the terrporary use of the property. <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that it would be appropriate to do so. <br />
