<br />Roseville Planning Comnission Minutes <br /> <br />Wednesday, May 2, 1979 <br /> <br />'Ihe May 2, 1979, regular rreeting of the Roseville Plarming Conmission was called <br />to order by Chai:rnan V. Johnson at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />M:IDbers present: Mastel, Simms, Dressler, Rukavina, G. Johnson and V. Johnson. <br />Cushing arrived at 7: 35 p. m. <br /> <br />M:IDbers absent: None <br /> <br />Staff present: Council liaison Al Kehr, Howard Dahlgren, Ed McGuire and Steve <br />North <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina rroved and Mr. G. Johnson seconded, that the minutes of the regular <br />rreeting of April 4, 1979, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Sirrons, Dressler, <br />Rukavina, G. Johnson and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1181 - 'Ihomas Willmus request for variance to floor area ratio at <br />2500 Cleveland Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. John Daubney, Attorney representing th= applicant, indicated that at the last <br />rreeting the Conmission requested that the application be reviewed by the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District. He stated that had been accomplished and intrcx1uced Mr. Mike <br />Rich, Engineer representing the applicant. Mr. Rich indicated that the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District had three concerns: 1) that sufficient storage of water be pro- <br />vided by the applicant on his awn property; 2) that the water quality be preserved; <br />3) that an errosion control plan be provided. <br /> <br />Mr. Rich indicated all the concerns had been net arrl that the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District has given approval for the developrrent. He indicated that when the water <br />leaves Mr. Willmls ~ property it goes into an existing storm sewer and then to <br />Cleveland Avenue. Mr. Daubney indicated that the water will not drain onto the <br />Holiday Inn parking lot. <br /> <br />Fecomrendation <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina rroved and Mr. Mastel seconded, that the Comnission recomrend approval <br />of 'Ihornas Willm.1s' request for variance to floor area ratio at 2500 North Cleveland. <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Mastel, Sirrons, Dressler, Rukavina, Cushing, G. Johnson and V. <br />Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1185 - William Johnson request for variance to sign setback at <br />627 Larpenteur Avenue <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that the applicant had previously received approval for re- <br />rrodelling and expanding the building. He indicated that the pylon sign is proposed <br />to be located 19 feet from the property line on I.arpenteur Avenue. 'Ihe required <br />setback is 30 feet. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sue Johnson indicated there would be 7 tenants in the building. <br />
