<br />Roseville Planning Commission Minutes <br />Wednesday, August 6, 1980 <br /> <br />The August 6, 1980, regular meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission was <br />called to order by Chairman V. Johnson at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br />Members absent: <br />Staff present: <br /> <br />Dressler, G. Johnson, Rukavina, Simons and V. Johnson. <br />Cushing and Mastel <br />Council liaison Al Kehr, Howard Dahlgren, Bob Ryan, Dave Drown <br />and Steve North <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina moved and Mr. Simons seconded, that the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of July 2, 1980, be approved. Roll Call, Ayes: Dressler, G. Johnson, <br />Rukavina and Simons. Nays: None. Abstention: V. Johnson because he was <br />absent from the meeting. <br /> <br />Planning File 1266 - James Suchy request for division of lot at 1000 Burke Avenue <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. Dahlgren indicated that the applicant proposes to divide an existing lot which <br />has 87 feet of frontage on both Burke and Parker Avenues with a depth of 428 feet. <br />The two new lots would each contain over 18,000 square feet. The proposed division <br />is also in keeping with other lot divisions in the area. Mr. Dahlgren indicated <br />that the City is requesting a 30 foot dedication of rig~t-of-way for Burke Avenue. <br />The app1iaant stated she thought the dedication had been made several years ago, <br />but that if it had not, she would be willing to do so. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. G. Johnson moved and Mr. Rukavina seconded, that the Commission recommend <br />approval of James Suchy's request for division of lot at 1000 Burke Avenue with <br />the condition that 30 feet of additional right-of-way be dedicated for Burke Avenue <br />if it has not been previously dedicated. Roll Call, Ayes: Dressler, G. Johnson, <br />Rukavina, Simons and V. Johnson. Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1264 - Proposed Ordinance Defining Certain Permitted and Special <br />Uses in the R-1 zoning district and adding criteria for <br />issuance of special use permits in all zoning districts <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Mr. North indicated that there have been continuing discussions with the School <br />District regarding the proposed ordinance. He commented that because of a <br />question regarding the City's authority to regulate uses of school property <br />through its zoning powers, an attorney general's opinion will be requested. He <br />recommended that consideration of the ordinance be continued until the next meet- <br />ing. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Mr. Rukavina moved and Mrs. Dressler seconded, that the proposed ordinance <br />defining certain permitted and special uses in the R-l zoning district and adding <br />criteria for issuances of special use permits in all zoning districts be continued <br />
