Roseville Planning Commission Minutes
November 6, 1985

Page 8

Mr. Drown suggested that, at some point in time, the City may wish to
consider licensing businesses in order to track in and out migration
in the City, and potential use changes. Dressler stated that it may
be useful for the Council to indeed study the licensing of businesses
to keep track of business movement.

DeBenedet asked what this would accomplish, and that he wasn't
necessarily convinced this would be needed. Wiski pointed out that it
would help enhance fire, parking and zoning compliance. Johnson
replied that, in her opinion, in a number of instances a parking
space is a right, and should not be considered a convenience.

Berry moved, Dressler seconded, that the Planning commission recommend
to the City to conduct a study regarding the feasibility of licensing
businesses.

Roll Call, Ayes: Berry, Johnson, Dressler, Matson, Mueller,
DeBenedet, and Wiski.
Nays: None.

DeBenedet moved, Mueller seconded, to forward the parking report to
the City Council, and recommend that the Council approve the
restaurant parking modifications.

Roll Call, Ayes: Berry, Johnson, Dressler, Matson, Mueller,
DeBenedet, and Wiski.
Nays: None.

other Business
None.

Adjournment
The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
