<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION MbETING <br />Wednesday, December 2, 1987 <br /> <br />The December 2, 1987, regular meeting of the Roseville Planning <br />Commission was called to order by Chairperson Pat Johnson at 7:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: Johnson, Berry, Stokes, DeBenedet, Goedeke, and <br />Moeller. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Maschka. <br /> <br />Staff Present: Waldron, Dahlgren, and Janisch. <br /> <br />Council Present: Cushman (liaison) and Kehr. <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Berry moved, Goedeke seconded, that the minutes of the regular <br />meeting of the Roseville Planning Commission held Wednesday, <br />November 4, 1987, be approved with the following modification: <br /> <br />On Page 6, third paragraph, the name referred to should be Terren <br />as opposed to Johnson. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: Johnson, Berry, Stokes, DeBenedet, Goedeke and <br />Moeller. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Planning File 1809 <br />Kraus-Anderson request for variance at 2057 North Snelling <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />Presentation <br />Dahlgren showed the location of the building. <br />Rose Bowl that was built before 1959, and has <br />number of years. It is currently zoned B-3, <br />bowling alley and the current proposed retail. <br /> <br />This was the old <br />been unused for a <br />which allows the <br /> <br />Dahlgren pointed out that a permit was issued for the new <br />building modifications, which the City Attorney deemed <br />appropriate. It was later ascertained that the modifications did <br />not include modifications to the parking lot. Even though such <br />modifications weren't required, the developer did decide to clean <br />up the lot with landscape and islands. It was decided that <br />because of the City's request to modify the parking lot, the <br />respective variances were needed. <br /> <br />The variances requested are from ten feet to zero feet on the <br />north side of the building, from thirty feet to zero feet on the <br />south side of the building, from fifteen to seven feet on the <br />south side of the parking lot, from ten feet to zero feet on the <br />west side of the parking lot, from five feet to zero feet on the <br />north side of the parking lot, and from one hundred parking <br />spaces to ninety-five parking spaces. <br /> <br />Stokes asked why weren't these variances obtained first. <br />Dahlgren pointed out that the developer did not have to clean up <br />the parking lot, this was a suggestion on the part of the City. <br /> <br />~ J <br />
