<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Pagett 19 <br /> <br />Wednesday, July 6, 1988 <br /> <br />response to the site and that the traffic problems seemed to be <br />the major issue that needs to be addressed. <br /> <br />DeBenedet moved, Maschka seconded that the comprehensive plan be <br />amended from medium residential to high density residential, park <br />and business. <br /> <br />Johnson questioned whether tabling this item might be appropriate <br />to get beyond the no development opportunity. DeBenedet stated <br />that if it were tabled, the commission could give no direction to <br />the developer. <br /> <br />stokes stated that the traffic seemed to be the main problem, and <br />that if the item was tabled, we must give some direction to a <br />developer. <br /> <br />Berry reiterated that no development is not an option, and that <br />the planning commission needs to react to the plan. Berry added <br />that she had a problem with the shopping center zoning and the <br />housing project would be superior. Berry commented that she had <br />a problem with the size of the shopping center and the amount of <br />parking on the corner of Lexington and Woodhill. <br /> <br />Goedeke pointed out that the commission did not accept the <br />Kaufhold plat because it didn't consider the whole site, but that <br />this one was complete and had a plan for the total site. <br /> <br />Goedeke indicated that a K-Mart had been proposed for the site in <br />the past and that he would have a problem with that. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: <br /> <br />Maschka, DeBenedet, Berry, Goedeke, Stokes, <br />Moeller <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Johnson <br /> <br />DeBenedet moved, Goedeke seconded that the site be rezoned from <br />R-2 to R-l and B-4 and from SC to R-3 and B-4. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: <br /> <br />Maschka, DeBenedet, Berry, Goedeke, Stokes, <br />Moeller <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Johnson <br /> <br />Goedeke moved, DeBenedet <br />Special Use Permit for <br />following conditions: <br /> <br />seconded to recommend approval of a <br />a Planned unit Development with the <br />
