<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Paget 8 <br /> <br />Wednesday, August 2, 1989 <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />other Business <br /> <br />Johnson asked the Commission if it would be appropriate to ask <br />the Council to refer the design standards which have been <br />developed in the past to the Planning commission for formal <br />review and recommendation. <br /> <br />Berry stated that she would strongly support formal action on <br />design standards. <br /> <br />Berry moved and wietecki seconded to recommend that the City <br />council refer the design standards to the Commission for formal <br />review and recommendation. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Wietecki, <br />Johnson <br /> <br />Berry, <br /> <br />stokes, Maschka, <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Johnson asked the Commission what a good time would be to <br />schedule a meeting to hear John Shardlow' s presentation on the <br />role of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Dahlgren suggested that 5: 30 p. m. on september 6, immediately <br />prior to the regular Planning commission meeting might be an <br />appropriate time for the meeting. <br /> <br />Johnson set 5:30 p.m. on September 6, 1989 as the meeting date. <br /> <br />Johnson brought the Commission's attention to a public <br />information meeting which would be held on August 23, 1989 at <br />7:30 p.m. concerning the Ramsey County Rail Authority's <br />Comprehensive Light Rail Transit plan. <br /> <br />Berry asked how the general public would be informed. Johnson <br />responded that a packet of information will be sent out to the <br />Planning Commission members, that there will be a press release <br />in the Focus and that the meeting would be broadcast on cable TV. <br /> <br />Johnson brought the Commission's attention to an article handed <br />out on Senior Housing needs. <br /> <br />Ad;ournment <br /> <br />There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9: 20 <br />p.m. <br />
