ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION Paget 8 Wednesday, August 2, 1989 Nays: None other Business Johnson asked the Commission if it would be appropriate to ask the Council to refer the design standards which have been developed in the past to the Planning commission for formal review and recommendation. Berry stated that she would strongly support formal action on design standards. Berry moved and wietecki seconded to recommend that the City council refer the design standards to the Commission for formal review and recommendation. Roll Call: Ayes: Wietecki, Johnson Berry, stokes, Maschka, Nays: None Johnson asked the Commission what a good time would be to schedule a meeting to hear John Shardlow' s presentation on the role of the Planning Commission. Dahlgren suggested that 5: 30 p. m. on september 6, immediately prior to the regular Planning commission meeting might be an appropriate time for the meeting. Johnson set 5:30 p.m. on September 6, 1989 as the meeting date. Johnson brought the Commission's attention to a public information meeting which would be held on August 23, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. concerning the Ramsey County Rail Authority's Comprehensive Light Rail Transit plan. Berry asked how the general public would be informed. Johnson responded that a packet of information will be sent out to the Planning Commission members, that there will be a press release in the Focus and that the meeting would be broadcast on cable TV. Johnson brought the Commission's attention to an article handed out on Senior Housing needs. Ad;ournment There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 9: 20 p.m.
