ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

Page 7

Wednesday, August 1, 1990

Jerry Slawik of Har Mar, Inc. stated that they had purchased
this land from the state and now would like to use it since an
interchange is not being planned for the site.

DeBenedet questioned whether the city would be involved in the
maintenance or removal of the frontage road. Keel stated that it
would be the owners responsibility.

DeBenedet commented that the public would assume it is still a
public street. Keel stated that the public would probably use
the street but essentially it would be a private driveway.
DeBenedet questioned whether that was clear to Har Mar, Inc.
Slawik stated that it was.

DeBenedet questioned whether there were any plans to dress up
Midway Ford. Ed Tischner of Midway Ford stated that eventually
they will but that they want to see how Lincoln Drive is being
used. Tischner stated that when the building was constructed the
side facing Lincoln drive was facing a truck terminal. Tischner
stated that is why that side didn't have the same type of siding
as the rest of the building.

The Public Hearing was closed.

Johnson stated that this vacation has been a part of the city's
plan and as such is a housekeeping matter. Johnson stated that
she is glad to see this happening on the east side of the Twin
Lake redevelopment area.

MOTION

Goedeke moved and DeBenedet seconded to approve vacation with the
following conditions. 1) The exact west line of the vacation
where the frontage road intersects with Lincoln Drive be
determined by the Engineering Dept.; 2) That the vacation be
discussed with the Ramsey County Regional Railroad Authority to
determine future light rail transit requirements.

Roll Call:

Ayes:

Berry, DeBenedet, Goedeke, Johnson,
Roberts, Stokes, wietecki

Nays:

None

Planninq File 2132

Robert Rosenthal request for a lot division at 2162 Midlothian
Road.

Presentation
