<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Wednesday March 13, 1991 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Goedeke moved and Stokes seconded to continue this item until the <br />regular April Planning commission meeting because the applicant <br />was not present. <br /> <br />DeBenedet stated that he felt that the Planning commission can <br />deal with the matter and the applicant could be present at the <br />city Council meeting. <br /> <br />Goedeke withdrew the motion. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Shardlow outlined the history of the application and pointed out <br />that a application lacked a site plan and failed to show <br />hardship. <br /> <br />Johnson closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Goedeke moved and Roberts seconded to recommend denial of George <br />Brandt, Inc. request for a variance to the sign ordinance at 2975 <br />Long Lake because no hardship or practical difficulty was <br />demonstrated. <br /> <br />DeBenedet stated that there was no reason for the sign variance, <br />that a sign meeting the ordinance requirements would be <br />adequately seen. <br /> <br />Goedeke said that he agreed, that site lines are fine and putting <br />it back would be no detriment to the business. <br /> <br />Johnson stated that the <br />requirements and that she <br />variance. <br /> <br />applicant was <br />would support <br /> <br />made <br />the <br /> <br />aware <br />denial <br /> <br />of <br />of <br /> <br />the <br />the <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Roberts, Stokes, Goedeke, Berry, <br />DeBenedet, Wietecki, Johnson <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Planninq File 2207 <br /> <br />Hom Oak and Leather request for variances to the sign ordinance <br />at 2525 Snelling Avenue North. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Shardlow gave the history of the proposal and outlined the <br />
