<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />August 14, 1991 <br /> <br />page# <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Items discussed included sitelines and screening of rooftop <br />mechanical equipment, building materials, landscaping, drainage, <br />Fire Marshal issues relating to existing pipelines on the property, <br />the use of tax increment financing for the project, issues relating <br />to whether a more intense use would be better for this site, the <br />proposed tenants for the buildings, and leasing of the buildings. <br /> <br />DeBenedet closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />wietecki moved and Thomas seconded a motion to recommend approval <br />of Everest Development Ltd. request for special use permit for <br />office service uses at 2140 and 2210 County Road C based on plans <br />submitted and that screening of rooftop utilities be screened by <br />parapets as indicated by the applicant. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Ayes: Goedeke, Wietecki, Harms, Thomas, <br /> DeBenedet <br /> Nayes: Stokes <br />Planninq File 2355 <br />Duffy Development Company request for sketch plan review at 2231 <br />Rice Street. <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Shardlow outlined the critical dimensions on plans developed by the <br />applicant, and the problems associated with the site. He explained <br />that Mr. Duffy was asking for some guidance from the Planning <br />Commission on what changes may be acceptable and what modifications <br />could be made to make the project work. <br /> <br />DISCUSSIONS <br /> <br />Items discussed included parking problems, the location and safety <br />of the play area, the size of each particular unit and the <br />possibility of reducing units, the need for maintaining green space <br />on the property, the possible use of existing utilities on the <br />site, and the possibility of moving the buildings closer to lot <br />lines to gain the additional parking space required. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission meeting recessed at 10:15 p.m. <br /> <br />The Planning commission meeting reconvened at 10:20 p.m. <br />
