<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Wednesday, November 13, 1991 <br /> <br />The November 13, 1991 regular meeting of the Roseville Planning <br />Commission was called to order by Acting Chairperson John Goedeke <br />at 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Stokes, Thomas, Roberts, Wietecki, Harms, <br />Goedeke <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />DeBenedet <br /> <br />Staff Present: <br /> <br />Shardlow, Keel, Jopke <br /> <br />Council Present: <br /> <br />Thomas <br /> <br />A~proval of Minutes <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Roberts moved and Stokes seconded to approve the minutes of the <br />October 9, 1991 Planning commission meeting. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Stokes, Thomas, Roberts, Wietecki, <br />Harms, Goedeke <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Hearings <br /> <br />Planninq File 2333 <br /> <br />Mike PlattjFuddruckers request for sign variance at 2740 Snelling <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Shardlow provided the history of the proposal and summarized the <br />changes which have occurred in their request. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Issues discussed included the hardship presented by the sale of the <br />State right-of-way, whether the applicant had the right to expect <br />visibility from Snelling Avenue and County Road C vs. the frontage <br />road, the visibility of the sign from adjacent residential areas, <br />and the amount of variance requested, the comparison of the <br />proposed height to the Holiday Inn sign on Cleveland Avenue, <br />alternate locations for the sign, whether the proposed sign would <br />allow people to identify the site in time to turn on County Road C, <br />and the need to limit the variance to the current operation. <br /> <br />No one from the public spoke on this matter. <br /> <br />MOTION <br />
