<br />ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />June 10, 1992 <br /> <br />Paget <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />Bob Tranquillo, 2040 Irene, appeared in opposition to the proposal. <br />Mr. Tranquillo expressed concern about the loss of mature oak <br />trees, the impact on his view, the fact that the new homes would be <br />out of character with existing homes in the neighborhood, concern <br />that additional furnaces could affect air quality, concern that <br />construction activities could damage his house and retaining wall, <br />and that the proposal would adversely affect property values. Mr. <br />Tranquillo presented a petition in opposition to the proposal. <br /> <br />Tim Johnson, 400 N. McCarrons Boulevard stated that he hated to see <br />a change in the rural character of the area, and expressed concern <br />that the proposal would add to the existing drainage problems in <br />the area. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />stokes moved and Harms seconded a motion to recommend approval of <br />Matthias Schlosser's request for preliminary and final plat at 391 <br />N. McCarrons Boulevard with the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. That the driveways for lots 2 and 3 be built off the side <br />streets (Irene and Western), instead of off McCarrons <br />Boulevard. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />That Lots 3 and 4 be combined into one tax parcel. <br />That the City approve grading plan for the site. <br />That Carpenter Homes save as many trees as possible. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Harms, Thomas, Stokes, Goedeke <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />other Business <br /> <br />Potential ordinance amendments to require housing inspections when <br />homes are sold. <br /> <br />Discussion of this item was continued to a future meeting. <br /> <br />commissioner Thomas informed the Commission that she has become <br />aware of standards in the car wash industry for containing and <br />recycling soap and water. <br /> <br />Adiournment <br /> <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 11:02 p.m. <br />
