ROSEVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION
June 10, 1992

Paget

8

Bob Tranquillo, 2040 Irene, appeared in opposition to the proposal.
Mr. Tranquillo expressed concern about the loss of mature oak
trees, the impact on his view, the fact that the new homes would be
out of character with existing homes in the neighborhood, concern
that additional furnaces could affect air quality, concern that
construction activities could damage his house and retaining wall,
and that the proposal would adversely affect property values. Mr.
Tranquillo presented a petition in opposition to the proposal.

Tim Johnson, 400 N. McCarrons Boulevard stated that he hated to see
a change in the rural character of the area, and expressed concern
that the proposal would add to the existing drainage problems in
the area.

MOTION

stokes moved and Harms seconded a motion to recommend approval of
Matthias Schlosser's request for preliminary and final plat at 391
N. McCarrons Boulevard with the following conditions:

1. That the driveways for lots 2 and 3 be built off the side
streets (Irene and Western), instead of off McCarrons
Boulevard.

2.

That Lots 3 and 4 be combined into one tax parcel.
That the City approve grading plan for the site.
That Carpenter Homes save as many trees as possible.

3.

4.

Roll Call:

Ayes:

Harms, Thomas, Stokes, Goedeke

Nayes:

None

other Business

Potential ordinance amendments to require housing inspections when
homes are sold.

Discussion of this item was continued to a future meeting.

commissioner Thomas informed the Commission that she has become
aware of standards in the car wash industry for containing and
recycling soap and water.

Adiournment

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 11:02 p.m.
