Mr. Brown also stated that the <br />vacation of Fernwood would result in more left turns and that <br />parking should be added on the north side of the arena. <br /> <br />Dick Houck, 1133 Roselawn Avenue, pointed out that if this was a <br />private project, it would not be accepted because of parking and <br />traffic problems. Mr. Houck stated that the consultants were down <br />playing the usage and impact of the project and that the City was <br />asking for monumental problems. <br /> <br />Bud Knutson, 2735 Fernwood, stated that the proposal would create <br />a hardship .for people living on Fernwood and that he opposed the <br />vacation. <br /> <br />An unidentified citizen stated that the consultant had given <br />erroneous information on the age of the sewer. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Roberts moved and Thomas seconded a motion to continue <br />consideration of the City of Roseville request for vacation of <br />Fernwood Avenue between County Road C and Woodhill Drive to <br />accommodate the construction of the John Rose Minnesota Oval until <br />September 9, 1992 to obtain additional information to be provided <br />concerning parking requirements, impact of the facility on the MWCC <br />sanitary sewer line, and impact on the adjacent neighborhood to the <br />north. <br /> <br />Roll Call: <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Stokes, Goedeke, Roberts, Thomas, <br />DeBenedet <br /> <br />Nayes: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />other Business <br /> <br />sign ordinance. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed the results of the discussion held earlier <br />with the City Council and concurred that items, where there was <br />general agreement, would be formally recommended for action at the <br />September 9, 1992 Planning Commission meeting.
