<br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />January 10, 1996 <br /> <br />Welsch stated that video tapes are being prepared to provide Planning Commission <br />members with ideas about alternative housing density. <br /> <br />Chairman Wietecki stated that it would be appropriate for the Commissioners to view the <br />tapes and then bring an expert in to discuss pros and cons of what works and what doesn't <br />work, what are the issues brought out by different density alternatives, and finally take a <br />tour of sites in the Twin Cities area. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commission that an expert be brought in at either the <br />February or March meeting and that the tour be conducted in the first week of May. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />Uses by zoning district. <br /> <br />Welsch summarized a report and noted that there are some inconsistencies in the City <br />ordinance. Welsch pointed out that City Planner Mike Falk will come back with ideas <br />concerning inconsistencies in residential areas. Once direction is received from the <br />Planning Commission, ordinance changes will be drafted. Welsch also pointed out that <br />the results of the discussion will be used in a zoning workbook. <br /> <br />Chairman Wietecki asked the impact of the Rosedale tax decision on the assessed <br />valuation. Member Thein stated that valuation has stabilized or is moving up despite the <br />tax decision. <br /> <br />9. Adjournment: <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m. <br /> <br />9 <br />
