Why rezone to HDR? All the current businesses have been trying to sell or <br />move. Senior housing is needed in the community. Adjacent uses support <br />senior housing (parks, grocery, residential area). <br />CraigChristenson explained the response from Dominium which included only <br />the land north of Oakcrest. Dominion assumed $96,000/unit for new <br />construction for 160 housing units. Dominion is also interested in the parcel <br />south of Oakcrest. <br />MemberRhody asked if 160 units could be built and what could be added to the <br />site (up to 185 units). <br />Knights of Columbus representative, Doug Schwab, 370 Oakcrest, requested <br />alternative 2 (mixed commercial and residential) be approved. Knights of <br />Columbus wishes to sell the north parcel to National Tire. There are four <br />tenants using the Knights of Columbus for bingo. Knights of Columbus will have <br />to retain parking west to Fry Street. In the past the Planning Commission <br />recommended development of the north parcel for a Western Auto. <br />Member Cunningham asked what are typical attendance for bingo? (20 sessions <br />are held each week with 90-170 participants each). <br />Chair Harms asked if the Knights of Columbus have discussed relocation?
