Motion: <br /> Member Mulder moved, Member Rhody seconded, to continue PF 2998 <br />to May 27, 1998 Planning Commission meeting. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />Roll Call: Ayes: Wilke,Mulder, Harms, Cunningham, Rhody, Olson, Klausing <br />Nays: None <br />Motion: <br /> Member Mulder moved, Member Rhody seconded, to recommend to the <br />City Council an extension of the moratorium which expires April 28, 1998. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />Roll Call: Ayes: Wilke,Mulder, Harms, Cunningham, Rhody, Olson, Klausing <br />Nays: None <br />Direction to staff was provided as follows: <br />1.How to best maintain the interests of the neighborhood. <br />2.Define neighborhood as affordable, viable neighborhood. <br />3.Sustainability infers that residential could encroach in commercial area <br />such as adding medium density townhomes. <br />4.Get MnDOT and County involved in intersection issues. <br />5.Do not punish Knights of Columbus. <br />Member Cunningham expressed concern about configuration of site and <br />realignment based on location of high lines. <br />MemberKlausing clarified issues regarding the third option. <br />7b.Planning File 2991.Minneapple International Montessori, a request to <br />amend a conditional use permit to allow the expansion of a day care facility <br />(1875 Perimeter Drive). <br />Chair Harms opened the hearing and requested Kim Lee to provide a summary <br />of the staff report of April 8, 1998. <br />Kim Lee described the request to expand athe school by 4,800 square feet. The <br />parking area would be expanded in the front and the play area reduced in size. <br />The existing building is painted brick with a mansard roof. The addition must <br />match the existing building in design and materials. The staff recommended <br />approval of the request for an amended conditional use permit to allow the <br />expansion of a day care facility at 1875 Perimeter Drive, with the following <br />conditions: <br />8 <br />
