City of Roseville is proposing text amendments to Section <br />1013.02C of the City Code (Minor Variances) and Section 1012.02 of the City <br />Code (Required Yards and Open Space). <br />Consideration of and Public Hearing for Planning File 3047 was continued to the <br />? <br />PlanningCommissions next regular meeting of September 9, 1998. <br />7.PRESENTATIONS AND OTHER ACTIONS: <br />7a.Sketch Plan Review: Planning File 3049. Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, <br />proposed senior housing facility (60units) at 2561 Victoria Street North. <br />Chair Harms stepped down and requested Vice Chair Rhody to assume the Chair <br />during discussion of this case. <br />DennisWelsch discussed the proposal and indicated no formal action was required <br /> - <br />on this matter at this meetingthat a hearing would be held in October. <br />ChrisHenningson, 63 Mid Oaks Lane, President of the Prince of Peace Lutheran <br />Church, discussed the meeting with the Roseville Parks and Recreation Committee <br />and results of the meeting. <br />Russ Rosa, architect for the Church noted that the original plan was for a 60-unit, <br />4-story building, which has been reduced to a 56-unit, 3-story building. The new <br />building will be about 3' higher than the main peak on current church. He <br />demonstrated the building site in relation to pathways and church parking (upper <br />path on church property, but maintained/used by the city) <br />The Commission received a letter from DwendaGjerdingen, 2553 Fisk St., <br />opposing the proposal. <br />MemberRhody said he was pleased that Plan B has been maintained and that the <br /> configuration is good with visual impact minimal. <br />MemberWilke stated he was pleased with the drive entrance on the north corner <br />and generally pleased with concept presented. <br />MemberKlausingasked if the architect had tried to position the building along <br />Victoria as suggested previously? He reiterated his concern about the impact for <br />residents on Fisk and also for park users. <br />Member Olson reminded the applicant that a rezoning was needed to proceed with <br />16 <br />
