Dennis Welsch presented a summary of
the staff report.
A letter from Regor, Inc., 1947 W. Co. Rd C, dated October 13, 1998,
opposing the alignment because of loss of land on the Regor site was
added to the file and to the minutes.
Aldon Pearson appeared on behalf of Mr. Gene Pikovsky. He reviewed
the industrial goals of the Comprehensive Plan, page IND-3. He noted
PIK has three tenants who will use the site for up to five years. He
reviewed the interim proposal and asked how long it would take to
become the final plan or improvement. Mr. Pearson asked if the interim
proposal were installed, an entry would need to be constructed between
the office building and the safety building.
Mr. Pearson stated the PIK owners are concerned about the timing and
pricing of the property. He displayed a letter from (October 14,1998) by
Dennis Welsch which states an interim plan also be adopted and
recommended to the City Council.
Aldon Pearson noted PIK was interested in the date when the final and
interim plan alignment would be put into place. (Construction is
scheduled for year 2001 or later).
Karl Keel stated the city would hold hearings before the roadway was
constructed. Access would be determined at that time.
There was no further public comments or questions.
Chair Harms closed the hearing.
8
