Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />Motion: Member Olson moved, seconded by Member Egli to approve the minutes of the July 14, 1999 meeting of the <br />Planning Commission as amended: page 4, delete lines 1 and 2, line 8 replace to reflect Chair Klausing's idea; page 6, <br />line 15, delete Rhody, insert Egli; page 9, delete Rhody, insert Egli; page 9, line 27, delete no, add a. <br /> <br />Ayes: Rhody, Mulder, Olson, Klausing, Cunningham, Egli <br /> <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />Abstain: Rhody <br /> <br />4. Communications from the Public <br /> <br />Chair Klausing read a letter from Edith Kittelson, 1221 W. Co. Rd. B, regarding the Lexington school site. <br /> <br />5. Consent Agenda <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />G. Public Hearings <br /> <br />Ga. Planning File 3133. The City of Roseville is requesting an ordinance amendment to Sections 1101.02 (Subdivision <br />Definitions), Section 1103.06 (Lot Standards), and Section 11 04.04E (Minor Subdivisions) of the City of Roseville City <br />Code creating a procedure for approving Flag Lots. <br /> <br />Chair Klausing opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke present a summary of the staff report. <br /> <br />City Planner Paschke discussed the proposed ordinance and the development of criteria for flag lots (subdivision code). A <br />flag lot would be a portion of a parent lot that does not have the required 85' on a public street. He reviewed the ten items <br />listed in the staff report (ordinance) as conditions of approval of a flag lot. The Development Review Committee would <br />review the applications; the applicant would apply for a Minor Subdivision, and sent for public hearing by the City Council. <br />Planner Paschke further delineated the definition of flag lots. <br /> <br />Member Olson: (1)questioned notification process - were residents notified where there may be a possible flag lot? (No) <br />(2) Section 3, Item 2: 40% = 32'? (Yes) why 40%? Paschke: Welsch 40% looks at the future at larger lots, 40% half of a <br />street right-of-way required for public dedication (lots like those on Acorn Road - allow for cui de sac); Item 4: why is <br />
