Planning File 3143: City of Roseville request for an amendment to Roseville Zoning Ordinance, Section 1010.11,
Trash Handling Equipment.

Chair Klausing opened the hearing and requested Thomas Paschke to provide a verbal summary of the city staff report
dated November 10, 1999.

The proposed ordinance addresses trash collection and compaction containers allowed in residential multi-family, public,
business and industrial zones.

Two new clarifications were made including single family and multi-family containers.

Member Mulder asked if, in the multi-family areas, could trash be located near a garage (yes). The concept is to find an
unobtrusive location for trash - away from the "living area" or structure.

Member Olson asked if it was realistic to expect garbage cans to be screened or stored out of sight (currently required by
Code).
