<br />AND REVISION TO THE 1999 ROSEVILLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br />REVISING THE TEXT AND LAND USE MAP DESIGNATIONS <br /> <br />OF THE EXISTING PLAN ORIGINALLY ADOPTED IN 1994, AS AMENDED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Metropolitan Land Planning Acts of 1976 and 1996 the City of Roseville is required to prepare <br />a city comprehensive plan, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville, in 1979 adopted a plan entitled "City of Roseville Comprehensive Guide Plan", which <br />was reviewed and approved by the Metropolitan council, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council established a comprehensive plan review and has assisted by further authorizing a citizen <br />survey (1990 and 1998) and community Visioning Process (1992), entitled VISTA 2000, with over 100 citizen volunteers, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in addition to project amendments, since the 1994 adoption the Planning Commission annually has held <br />public hearings to update the Plan, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council have invited comment and published legal notice to affected <br />communities and property owners within 350 feet of land use map change, with a public hearing held at the time of the <br />requested amendment and an additional public hearing held on January 12, 2000, and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Planning Commission of the City of Roseville hereby recommends approval <br />and adoption of the 1999 amendments (and appendices and adoptions by reference) to the City of Roseville <br />Comprehensive Guide Plan, subject to review and comments of the plan by the Metropolitan Council, <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was seconded by Member Klausing and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Egli, Klausing, Cunningham, Wilke, Rhody <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />6f. Planning File 3151. A request by the City of Roseville to consider a proposed ordinance setting forth an amendment <br />to Section 1005.016 Relating to Outdoor Sales and Signage. <br /> <br />Member Wilke moved, seconded by Member Rhody, to continue consideration of Planning File 3151 to the Planning <br />Commission meeting of February 9, 2000. <br /> <br />Ayes: 5 <br /> <br />Nays: 0 <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Two Planning Commission members volunteered to serve on the Zoning Committee are Craig Klausing and Ed <br />Cunningham. <br /> <br />7.
