City of Roseville Planning Commission Minutes Wednesday, March 8, 2000 1. Call to Order Chair Craig Klausing called the March 8, 2000 regular meeting of the City of Roseville Planning Commission to order at 6:33 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall. 2. Roll Call and Introduction Present: Chair Craig Klausing, Ed Cunningham, Doug Wilke, Peggy Egli, Janet Olson, James Mulder, John Rhody Absent: None Staff present: Joel Jamnik, Karl Keel, Deb Bloom, Thomas Paschke, Dennis Welsch Council: Mayor John Kysylyczn, Barb Mastel 3. Approval of Minutes Motion: Member Cunningham moved, seconded by Member Egli, to approve the minutes of the February 9, 2000 meeting of the Planning Commission, with the following amendments: page 1, line 16, Member Rhody was absent for the first part of the meeting. Ayes: Klausing, Cunningham, Wilke, Egli, Mulder, Olson Abstain: Rhody Carried: 6-0-1 4. Communications from the Public Member Rhody announced the girls' basketball game at Arlington High School this evening at 7:30 p.m. 5. Consent Agenda None G. Public Hearings Ga. Planning File 3194: A request by Bradley Operating Limited Partnership for a variance from Section 1006.02C (Lot Coverage) and 1011.02 (Non-Conforming Uses: Existing Structures or Uses) for consideration of an additional 18,508 square feet of retail sales area, enclosed loading area and enclosed trash area at Har Mar Mall, 2100 Snelling Avenue. Chair Klausing explained the difference between the use of the land use and the variance. Chair Klausing opened the hearing and requested City Planner Thomas Paschke to provide a verbal summary of the project report dated March 8, 2000. He noted the variance, if approved, would allow an additional 18,000 s.t. of building on the site. Thomas Paschke explained the Council definitions regarding lot coverage. Current lot coverage is 28.17%; the proposal would add 1.02% to the lot coverage. Thomas Paschke explained the variance framework for determining findings.
