<br />Member Mulder spoke in opposition to the motion. It is a reasonable plan. The scale/scope is appropriate. The economics <br />of moving from "B" to "R" are difficult. <br /> <br />Chair Rhody spoke in favor of the plan and in opposition to the motion. It could protect the pond. <br /> <br />Ayes: 4, Wilke, Olson, Cunningham, Duncan <br /> <br />Nays: 2, Mulder, Rhody <br /> <br />Motion carried 4-2. <br /> <br />Project (PF3293) will be considered by the City Council on March 26, 2001. <br /> <br />7. Presentation and Other Actions <br /> <br />Veritas EAW Comments and Review of Concept PUD. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Dennis Welsh provided an overview of EAW comments received (4) and noted none <br />required further EIS work. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Mulder moved, second by Member Cunningham, after review of the Voluntary EAW and comments, to <br />recommend approval of a Negative Declaration (no significant additional environmental impact requiring an Environmental <br />Impact Statement). <br /> <br />Ayes: 6 <br /> <br />Nays: 0 <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Mulder moved, second by Member Wilke, that the Commission finds the land uses proposed within the <br />Veritas amendment (122,000 s.t. of additional office space) to the existing Centre Pointe Business Park Planned Unit <br />Development to be consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and the intent of the 1997 Centre Pointe PUD, and therefore <br />the Commission recommends concept and final approval of the PUD amendment. <br /> <br />Ayes: 6 <br /> <br />Nays: 0 <br /> <br />8. Other Business <br /> <br />Resolution for former chair and member Craig Klausing <br /> <br />By consensus and by resolution, the Commission congratulated Mr. Klausing on his appointment to the City Council and <br />thanked him for his dedication and service, and wished him well. <br /> <br />9. Information and Reports (verbal reports as time permits) <br /> <br />Land Use Planning Workshops were described. <br /> <br />10.
