<br />Member Olson asked about height (9 feet), which meets the Code. <br /> <br />There being no public comment, Chair Rhody closed the hearing. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Cunningham moved, seconded by Member Rhody, to recommend approval (approval with modifications <br />or denial) of a 2-1/2 foot side yard variance from Section 1004.01 A8 of the Roseville City Code to allow construction of a <br />10 foot by 10 foot (100 sq. ft) garden shed on property located at 2993 Fairview Avenue, based on the comments and <br />findings in Section 3 and 4, and the conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated November 14, 2001, together with <br />the condition that materials for the garden shed are to be of a wood material similar to the garage. <br /> <br />Ayes: 5 <br /> <br />Nays: 0 <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />----- 10 minute break ----- <br /> <br />Chair Rhody corrected the approval of the minutes of October 10 to show that Commissioner Olson had abstained on <br />their approval. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olson moved to recommend to the City Council a review of Roseville's Shoreland Ordinance (1016) to <br />consider structures including fences and their allowed distance from the shoreline and well as their structural materials. <br /> <br />Commissioner Traynor asked who would be doing the review. Thomas Paschke indicated if the Council agrees with the <br />recommendation, most likely staff and the City Attorney would complete the research, review, and creation of a proposed <br />ordinance for Commission review and recommendation. <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cunningham and upon vote was unanimously (5-0) recommended to the <br />Council. <br />c. Planning File 3350: Schedule for Annual Comprehensive Plan Updates and Capital Improvement Program <br /> <br />Chair John Rhody opened the hearing and requested staff to provide a verbal summary of the project report dated <br />November 14,2001. <br /> <br />Thomas Paschke provided a review of the annual Comprehensive Plan review. <br /> <br />Chair Rhody asked that staff prepare this as quickly as possible before the next meeting. <br /> <br />No public comments were offered or received. <br /> <br />Thomas Paschke explained the Plan is a "working document" that is continuously changing. The Planning Commission <br />reaffirmed and approved the new modifications over the past year. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Rhody moved, seconded by Member Cunningham to continue the hearing on the inclusion of <br />updates/changes within the Comprehensive Plan for the last year to the Planning Commission's next regular meeting of <br />December 12, 2001. <br /> <br />Ayes: 5 <br /> <br />Nay: 1 <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br />d.
