Kysylyczyn commented that Staff and the Chairperson would work together on establishing the monthly agendas. 8. Other o By-laws- Staff will bring a draft to the next meeting integrating other City commission by- laws. o Packets- to be distributed one week in advance o Public Hearing procedures- using the proper format to recognize citizens that come to the meetings. o Open meeting law (state statute 13D)- Ifmore than 2 commission members get together and discuss business it must be advertised as a public meeting, otherwise it is a violation of the open meeting law. Likewise it is not appropriate to discuss business through email between more than 2 members. o Meeting length- It was agreed that the meetings should last from 7-9pm. o Public Informationl Contact information- Commission contact information will be available to the public, please let staff know what is the best phone number and emaU to have available. o Email was discussed as a efficient communication tool. 9.
