2002 Leaf Program
The program started on October 28 and ended on November 22, for a total of 19 days. It was originally
scheduled for 14 days. The extra 5 days were directly attributed to going back into the North, West, and
South areas for a seeond pickup due to the leaves falling very late this season.

Weather was not a factor in this year's program. The first week saw a high of 41 0 and a low of230. The
second week saw a 550 high and a 250 low. The third week was a 400 high with a 150 low. The fourth
week was a 480 high with a 210 low. There wcre some light showers but overall, the weather was dry.

Under ideal conditions, the program would run for 14 days. All the conditions were good this year except
leaves weren't falling. This caused us to go back and this cost us an additional $13,536.

Vac-Alllabor for extra 5 days = $ 5,142
Trucks, leaf machines, and labor for extra 5 days = $ 8,394
Total for the extra 5 days (regular program 14 days) $13,536

2001 Leaf Program
10/29/01- 11119/01 15 days

Nonnal

2000 Leaf Program
10/31100 - 11/17/00 20 days

Rain and snow-some crews worked Veterans Day and Saturdays

Altematives for Program:
.(' Pickup all resident's leaves -- no registration
.(' Break City into four zones with onc crew being responsible for a zone, picking all residents

Eliminate Program:
.(' Residents would bring their own leaves to compost site.
