On May 14, 2003, we provided our <br />criteria for selection of transit shelter sites. Our preliminary list of bus stops <br />must be augmented with more detailed study of each site; for available right-of- <br />way, ADA accessibility, and input from adjoining property owners. Until these <br />criteria are satisfied at each site, we regard it as only a potential site. <br /> <br />In addition, Metropolitan Council's annual survey of Metro Transit riders finds <br />continued complaints about dirty and poorly maintained bus stops. In Roseville, <br />these are stops with frequent daily boardings, high visibility and benches <br />without maintenance along major thoroughfares. Adding transit shelters with <br />regularly scheduled maintenance at bus stops along these thoroughfares will <br />improve bus stop maintenance, weather protection, and enhance the image of <br />public transit in Roseville. We can improve transit on these thoroughfares: <br /> <br />Westbound Larpenteur Ave. from Rice Street to Fairview Ave. <br />1. Currently 8 bench sites: No maintenance and no weather protection <br />2. Propose equipping 2 sites with transit shelters & scheduled maintenance <br />Southbound Rice Street to Larpenteur Avenue <br />1. Currently 8 benches sites: No maintenance and no weather protection <br />2. Propose equipping 2 sites with transit shelters & scheduled maintenance <br />County Road B from Ferris Street to Rice Street <br />1. Currently 14 bench sites: No maintenance and no weather protection <br />2. Propose equipping 4 sites with transit shelters & scheduled maintenance <br />County Road B2 from Cleveland Ave. to Rice Street <br />1. Currently 7 bench sites: No maintenance and no weather protection <br />2. Propose equipping 3 sites with transit shelters & scheduled maintenance <br /> <br />5724 S. College Avenue.
