A quick review of Ihe existing lights in the area is completed and any areas that need a light are <br />suggested <br /> <br />3. A preliminary cost estimate mUst be determined for the installation as well as maintenance of the light. <br /> <br />4 A survey is sent out to the surrounding neighborhood to find out approval rating (How many people <br />wanl the light'?). The survey should include a map of the existing lights as well as proposed lights, and <br />a cosl estimate for each lighl suggested. <br /> <br />s. Approval rating must be at least 33%. Sllrveys that arc not returned assume approval granled. <br /> <br />6 Once the survey is taken. and the approval rating is deterntined to be over 33%. the light installation <br />musl be brought before the City Council for their approval. <br /> <br />7. Once approval is granted. NSP Electric is called and the streetlight is installed. The monthly <br />m'tallation fee is added to the lighting bill for the appropriate homes. <br /> <br />npOLICY .
