<br />Member Rossini said that if the line is inspected by the city during <br />construction, wouldn't it ultimately be the city's responsibility. Schwartz <br />said an inspection is to see that the connection is complete but not to <br />certify it. <br /> <br />Member Rossini said that he felt that if the street had to be torn apart for a <br />repair, it was a huge amount of money for a resident to have to be <br />responsible for. Bloom said that there is a single fee for street patching, <br />and the city does the work. <br /> <br />Member Willenbring asked if there were many problems with the water <br />connections on the mains. Schwartz said there may be one or two a year <br />at the most. <br /> <br />Member Wilke said again he thought they should maintain the same <br />policy but specifically state that the Y connection is the property owner's <br />responsibility. <br /> <br />Member Willenbring wants the policy clarified to spell out specifically on <br />the Y cOlmection where the property owner's responsibility begins. <br /> <br />Member Rossini restated his opinion that the property owner should only <br />be responsible up to their property line. <br /> <br />The Commission requested that staff return next meeting with more <br />infOlmation. <br /> <br />7. 2005 Public Works lnIprovement Projects <br /> <br />Deb Bloom went through the projects proposed for 2005. <br /> <br />8.
