The report was prepared by the Center for Policy, Planning & Performance who organized and facilitated 5 community meetings and 3 business meetings held in March, April and May 2005. In an effort to understand the current and future housing issues in the community, the RHRA hosted these community dialogues. We are happy to report that the meetings were well attended and the majority of participants felt that the sessions were meaningful and they were able to express their concerns and provide suggestions for addressing the issues. The RHRA is very pleased that residents care about their neighborhood and we can assure you that your time and efforts will not be ignored. The RHRA accepted the report at their May meeting but felt it was very important to gain feedback from the policy makers, commissions and community prior to making specific recommendations for programs to address the community concerns. Over the next few weeks, the RHRA is asking for your comments and feedback. The report findings and conclusions come directly from residents, property owners, business leaders and are summarized by the Center for Policy, Planning & Performance. The suggestions are not necessarily fully supported and promoted unanimously by the RHRA. However, the RHRA will more fully evaluate the budget impacts and implications of many of the recommendations along with additional feedback and suggestions from you. Plcase continue to be involved in this important process by reviewing and providing us feedback on the report. The RHRA appreciates your involvement and we want to make sure that your comments are recorded. Your comments will be reviewed by the RHRA at the regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at 7:00 p.m., Roseville City Hall.
