Member Shiely suggested there be a simplified form and that the units of <br />measure be written into the definition of terms. <br /> <br /> Duane Schwartz asked the Commission for a motion in support of a <br />council resolution. <br /> <br /> Member Shiely moved that a resolution be passed by the City Council <br />presenting the City’s questions and suggestions to the CRWD. Member <br />______ seconded. <br /> <br /> Ayes: 5 <br /> Nays: 0 <br /> Motion carried <br /> <br /> <br />6.Discussion of Roselawn Avenue Design <br /> <br /> Deb Bloom gave an overview of the project. <br /> <br /> Member Willenbring asked if residents realize they’re being assessed only <br />13-14% of the total cost of the project. Bloom said the three residents she <br />has spoken to were comfortable with the assessment. Schwartz said the <br />assessment rate was ultimately up the City Council. <br /> <br /> Member Shiely said the City should waive the hardship requirement on <br />deferred assessments and let anyone over 65 defer their assessment. <br />Bloom said that in the 10 years she’s worked for Roseville, no one has <br />ever even requested a deferred assessment. <br /> <br /> Member Shiely said that the math should be shown in the feasibility report <br />to show councilmembers how the figures were calculated. <br /> <br /> <br />7.2006 Public Works Workplan <br /> <br /> Deb Bloom listed the projects that are planned for 2006. <br /> <br /> Member Shiely said they City should let residents know county and state <br />projects, as well as city projects. Bloom and Schwartz said that articles <br />are printed in the “City News” every year outlining all projects. <br /> <br /> Chair Wilke brought up the new transit shelters in Roseville. He said the <br />one at Dale and County Road C is not handicap accessible and when it <br />snows, it will be totally unusable. Schwartz said there have definitely <br />been discussions with Transtop about problems. <br /> <br /> Chair Wilke gave an update on the County Road C Project. Work has <br />been suspended for the year with the exception of the signal lights. He <br />said having that extra lane has already made a dramatic difference in the <br />traffic congestion. <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />
