<br />RWMWD Rule Objective <br />Manage wetlands to achieve no net loss of acreage, function and value and maintain the complex ecosystems <br />that serve a variety of functions and values, including improving water quality and providing flood storage, <br />wildlife habitat, open space, and aesthetics. <br /> <br />Tcchnical Criteria <br />1. Will continue to regulate and manage wetlands in conformance with the Wetlands Conservation Act. <br />2. Buffer widths will remain the same but the minimum width will change to y, the standard for that wetland <br />classification. For example, on a Manage I wetland that has a buffer of 50 ft, the minimum will be 25 ft. <br />3. No stormwater management BMPs will be allowed in the buffer area. <br />4. Signage of wetland buffers will be required. <br /> <br />Rule Threshold <br />This rule will apply to all wetlands in RWMWD. <br /> <br />Erosion Control <br /> <br />Rule Objective <br />Prevent the export of sediment off site, which impacts surface water quality. <br /> <br />Technical Criteria <br />Erosion Control Plans must adhere to the MPCA Protecting Water Quality in Urban Areas Manual. <br /> <br />Rule Threshold <br />CRWD & RWMWD. All developments and redevelopments 1 acre and greater. <br />CRWD - All developments and redevelopments adjacent to water resources of the district that disturb greater <br />than 1,000 square feet of land. <br /> <br />Technical Criteria for Rules - June 29, 2005 <br /> <br />3 <br />
