<br />DATE: <br /> <br />August 26, 2005 <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Roseville City Council <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Doug Wilke, Chair <br />Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission <br /> <br />RE: <br /> <br />Commission Recommendation of Single Sort Recycling RFP <br /> <br />It has been brought to the attention of the Public Works, Environment and Transportation <br />Commission that there may have been some confusion over our recommendation regarding <br />recycling. <br /> <br />At the July meeting, the Commission had considerable discussion on the information in the <br />recycling report, which was presented by Tim Pratt. The Commission felt the data indicated a <br />positive response to single sort recycling. Due to this response, the Commission voted 4-1 to <br />recommend to the Council that they authorize a Request for Proposal for single SOli recycling <br />only. <br /> <br />Hopefully, this clarifies the Commission's recommendation as you consider this item further. <br />
