<br />Land disturbance activity means land change greater than 10.000 square feet that may result in <br />soil erosion from water or wind and the movement of sediments into or upon waters or lands of <br />the county, including clearing, grading, excavating, transporting and filling ofland. Land <br />disturbance activity does not mean the following: <br /> <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Minor land disturbance activities such as home gardens and an individual's home <br />landscaping, repairs, and maintenance work. <br />Construction, installation, and maintenance of electric, telephone, and cable television <br />utility lines or individual service connections to these utili 'es except where a <br />minimum of 10,000 square feet of land disturbance can icipated. <br />Tilling, planting, or harvesting or agricultural, hortiS~"i~ ' or silvicultural crops. <br />Installation of fence, sign, telephone, and elect....r....iS".,..',p.'...'...,.!.....,.!..p....!.!.'!~S a~~..o..,..t..h.e. r kinds of posts or <br />poles. ...,.,''i''''''ii. <br />Emergency work to protect life, limb, or prq~,~~y and emergens~,.repairs. No building permit, subdivision <br />apprqy~l, or pe~j~.to allow land disturbing activities shall be issued and no earth <br />disturbingactiyi!y shall commence until approval of the erosion and sediment control <br />plan. <br /> <br />Proiects coordinated bv Ramsev Countv or MnJDOT do not require a permit; <br />however. the Citv must be notified of the proiect and be provided a copv of the <br />erosion and sediment control plan. as well as an estimated schedule for <br />commencement and completion. The Citv will notifv the designated contact if <br />erosion control measures should fail or require maintenance with the expectation that <br />the deficiencies will be corrected. <br /> <br />- 2 - <br />
