" <br /> <br />In other words, this term broadly includes herbicides for weeds, insecticides f <br />fungicides for fungi and molds, rodenticides for rodents and many other mate <br />manage pests. Recent research has found that exposure to pesticides and their <br />can have a harmful effect on human health (especially children), wildlife, wil <br />water quality and surface water ecosystems. The City of Shoreview, has adop <br />regarding pesticide use to minimize the risk to human health, wildlife and the <br />environment. <br /> <br />What are the risks to human health? <br /> <br />Risks associated with pesticides are tied to toxicity and exposure. Toxicity rei <br />chemical make-up of the pesticide while exposure relates to the dose and rout <br />(eyes, skin, mouth, lungs). Pesticides with a moderate level of toxicity but ha' <br />exposure level may be safer to use in certain situations.
