<br />Page 5 of5 <br /> <br />for input from the City on how to maintain and improvement their viability. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pust encouraged the PWETC to provide their input, time <br />-"d resources to provide the City with options for stronger leadership with <br />Metropolitan Council regarding regional transportation issues (i.e., light <br />Idll transit and bus lines) and sought the PWETC's involvement with the <br />visioning process to discuss and make recommendation regarding those <br />regional transportation issues. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing concurred; opining various regional and metropolitan <br />transportation issues that affect the community were difficult, yet vital, and <br />required regional solutions. Mayor Klausing encouraged the PWETC to <br />provide their thoughts and ideas to the City Council as they related to the <br />upcoming ballot initiative for vehicle sales taxes dedicated and phased for <br />transit uses. <br /> <br />Chair Wilke noted the upcoming Hamline Avenue discussion; a review of the <br />pilot program for single sort recycling; and other items being discussed by <br />the commission.
