Variance Board Meeting Minutes – Wednesday, November 1, 2006 Page 2 feet (3’) from the front property line in order to accomplish the same goal of reducing the slope between the garage and street, eleven feet (11’) closer to the street than the proposed variance currently under consideration for the Trans. Staff recommended approval of the requested Variance, based on comments and findings outlined in Section 5 of the project report dated November 1, 2006. The applicants, Mr. and Mrs. Tran, were present but had no comment. No one appeared for or against the project at the hearing. Chair Bakeman closed the Public Hearing. Commissioner Doherty spoke in support of the variance request, given the slope and difficulties in the winter time. Commissioner Boerigter questioned if staff had received any comments from adjacent neighbors. City Planner Thomas Paschke advised that no comment had been received in opposition; and that only several comments in support of the request had been received by staff. MOTION Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Boerigter to adopt Variance Board Resolution No. 48 entitled, “A Resolution Approving a Variance to §1004 of the Roseville City Code for the Trans, 296 South McCarrons Boulevard (PF 3794);” allowing the construction of a residential addition and tuck-under garage at 296 South McCarrons Boulevard in a location fourteen feet (14’) from the front property line, which is twenty-six feet (26’) closer to the property line than Code permits, based on the comments and findings of Section 5 of the project report dated November 1, 2006. Ayes: 3 Nays: 0 Motion carried. Chair Bakeman advised the applicant of the appeal process timeframe. 5. Adjournment Chair Bakeman adjourned the meeting at 5:45 p.m.
