Variance Board Meeting <br />Minutes – Wednesday, November 1, 2006 <br />Page 2 <br />feet (3’) from the front property line in order to accomplish the same goal of reducing the <br />slope between the garage and street, eleven feet (11’) closer to the street than the proposed <br />variance currently under consideration for the Trans. <br />Staff recommended approval of the requested Variance, based on comments and findings <br />outlined in Section 5 of the project report dated November 1, 2006. <br />The applicants, Mr. and Mrs. Tran, were present but had no comment. <br />No one appeared for or against the project at the hearing. Chair Bakeman closed the Public <br />Hearing. <br />Commissioner Doherty spoke in support of the variance request, given the slope and <br />difficulties in the winter time. <br />Commissioner Boerigter questioned if staff had received any comments from adjacent <br />neighbors. <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke advised that no comment had been received in opposition; <br />and that only several comments in support of the request had been received by staff. <br />MOTION <br />Member Doherty moved, seconded by Member Boerigter to adopt Variance Board <br />Resolution No. 48 entitled, “A Resolution Approving a Variance to §1004 of the <br />Roseville City Code for the Trans, 296 South McCarrons Boulevard (PF 3794);” <br />allowing the construction of a residential addition and tuck-under garage at 296 South <br />McCarrons Boulevard in a location fourteen feet (14’) from the front property line, <br />which is twenty-six feet (26’) closer to the property line than Code permits, based on <br />the comments and findings of Section 5 of the project report dated November 1, 2006. <br />Ayes: 3 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />Chair Bakeman advised the applicant of the appeal process timeframe. <br />5. Adjournment <br />Chair Bakeman adjourned the meeting at 5:45 p.m. <br />
