<br /> <br />Planning Commission Board Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Draft Minutes - Wednesday, March 07, 2007 <br /> <br />1. Call to Order <br />Acting Chair Bakeman called to order the Planning Commission meeting at 6:32 p.m. and <br />reviewed the role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />2. Roll Call & Introductions <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br /> <br />Members Present: Commissioners Thomas Gottfried; Ildephonse Gasongo; Barbara <br />Martinson; Joe Wozniak; Daniel Boerigter; and Acting Chair Mary Bakeman. <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Doherty. <br /> <br />Staff present: Community Development Director John Stark; City Planner Thomas Paschke; <br />Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd; and City Engineer Debra Bloom. <br /> <br />3. Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />MOTION <br />Member Martinson moved, seconded by Member Wozniak, to approve meeting minutes <br />of February 7, 2007 as presented. <br /> <br />Ayes: 6 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. Communications and Recognitions: <br />a. From the Public (Public Comment on items not on the agenda): <br />No one appeared to speak on any non-agenda items. <br /> <br /> From the Commission: <br />Acting Chair Bakeman advised amendment to tonight’s Agenda, with Agenda Item A, <br />Planning File 07-013 would be moved to and replace Agenda Item B, Planning File <br />07-010. <br /> <br />5. Public Hearings <br /> <br />a. CONTINUATION OF PLANNING FILE 07-002 <br />Request by Northwestern College for a PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) <br />AGREEMENT AMENDMENT (PF07-002), to allow the increase in student population <br />from the current 1,800 to 2,600 full-time students and the future expansion of campus <br />facilities. <br /> <br />Acting Chair Bakeman opened the CONTINUED Public Hearing for Planning File 07- <br />002. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Bryan Lloyd briefly summarized the request of Northwestern <br />College to AMEND their 1986 PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT to be <br />consistent with their Long Range Campus Master Plan, originally approved in 1977, <br />updated in 1986, and now requesting amendment by modifying the campus to <br />accommodate a 12- to 20-year increase in student population from the current <br />population of 1,700 to approximately 2,400. <br /> <br />
