PLANNING FILE 3692 Continuation of the Roseville Comprehensive Plan Update Process – Review of technical update schedule with various City Commissions Chair Bakeman opened the Public Hearing for Planning File 3692. Staff had previously been requested to provide the Systems Statement and directives in the next meeting packet for Commissioners. Substantial discussion was held regarding the status of the update; ongoing discussions among staff and staff changes creating further delays; additional workload of the Commission; pending deadlines with the Metropolitan Council; Council support for the work to be accomplished and resources to complete the update; inclusion of the visioning findings; budget implications; visioning steering committee presentation and inclusion of their findings in the Comprehensive Plan update; Request for Qualifications and Request for Proposals process and timeframe; and budget ramifications. MOTION Member Gottfreid moved, seconded by Member Bakeman to send a delegation of two (2) Planning Commissioners to the City Council at their March 29, 2007, or earliest agenda opportunity, to present the Planning Commissioner’s resolution passed in November of 2006, to complete three (3) chapters/sections of the Comprehensive Plan Update, with outside consultants at a proposed fee of $60,000; and seeing City Council action to support this expenditure and request for proposals, in conjunction with discussion that evening at a special meeting to consider the Imagine Roseville 2025 Community Visioning process. Ayes: 6 Nays: 0 Motion carried. Chair Bakeman closed the Public Hearing for Planning File 3692. Acting Chair Bakeman and Commissioner Gottfried volunteered to attend and present the resolution. MOTION Member Bakeman moved, seconded by Boerigter to CONTINUE Planning File 3692 of the Roseville Comprehensive Plan Update Process. Ayes: 6 Nays: 0 Motion carried. 6. Information and Reports b. Staff Project 0001: Report on single-family residential lot split study Mr. Stark provided a brief update on the initial meeting of the lot split study group held the previous evening; and encouraged the public to provide their input through the City’s website, or other means of participation. 7. Adjournment Acting Chair Bakeman thanked staff for their excellent research and preparation for tonight’s meeting; and adjourned the meeting at 12:25 a.m.
