Human Rights Commission Minutes May 12, 1992 C) Calendar Planning the Commission calendar was postponed until the June 9th meeting due to time constraints. VI. Grievance Uodate Deutsch discussed the letter she received from the Minnesota Department of Human Rights regarding the no-fault grievance process. She will continue to fOllow-up with the liaison assigned to the Human Rights Commission in the Department and report back to the group. One grievance was individual involved to a conflict. The received during the month, but cancelled the meeting with Deutsch meeting will be rescheduled. the due VII. Other Items A. North Suburban Cable It was decided that Deutsch, Norrgard and Kushner will meet with the North Suburban Cable Commission and then report back to the full group for further discussion. B. Church Presentation Follow-Uo Norrgard reported that he had met with the Interfaith Social Action Committee as part of a panel discussion on prevention of hate crimes. The Social Action Committee was interested in how they might work with the Human Rights Commission on the cable programming. Norrgard will continue to be the contact with the Social Action Committee. C. White supremacv Newspaoer Several Commission members expressed interest in viewing the contents of the White supremacy newspaper recently circulated in Roseville in order to develop ideas on how to combat the contents. It was decided that the newspaper will be circulated among Commissioners, beginning with Borden delivering it to Trainor. Trainor should bring it to the June 9 meeting to be circulated to another Commissioner at that time. V. Next Meetinq The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 1992 at 7:30 p.m. VI. Adiournment The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
