HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 1993 <br />I. Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Commission Chair Waite <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Members present: Kim Waite, Stan Borden, Maria Reed, <br />Beatriz Menanteau. <br />Members absent: Mary Jean Turinia Anderson, Thelma <br />McKenzie, Dave Norrgard, Michael Trainor, <br />Bob Bancroft. <br />Others present: Laura Kushner, Staff Liaison. <br />III. Student Member Menanteau reported that her school will be <br />having a Multicultural Diversity Day on January 25, and <br />asked the Commission members for ideas and input. Any <br />Commission members who would like to contribute ideas on <br />speakers or other items should call Student Member <br />Menanteau. <br />IV. Informational Materials <br />Various Commission members supplied informational <br />materials, which are attached to the minutes. <br />V. Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Monday, December 13, at <br />7:30 p.m. at the City Council meeting to present awards to <br />the Essay Contest winners. <br />A short reception will follow the meeting, in the lower <br />level at City Hall. <br />VI. Adjournment <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. <br />
