Beatriz Menanteau, Bob Bancroft <br />three Essay Contest winners are all confirmed <br />parade. Stan Borden will be out of town. <br /> <br />and the <br />for the <br /> <br />V. Bias/Hate Crime Report. The Chamber has received a copy of <br />the Bias/Hate plan. A Star Tribune reporter called Mike and <br />asked to be added to the list of people to contact if a <br />bias/hate crime occurs. <br /> <br />VI. Grievance Update. No grievances reported. Mary Jean <br />Turinia Anderson reported that the Department of Human <br />Rights has confirmed that they will not be conducting <br />grievance training nor will they certify Commissioners any <br />longer. They have agreed to have someone present during the <br />training that the League will be sponsoring. The LMHRC is <br />updating the Manual and trying to find a certifying agency. <br /> <br />VII. <br /> <br />Human Riqhts Excellence Award. Discussion was held on the <br />following: <br /> <br />-- Change the cover letter to give people the option of <br />contacting a HRC member to get help filling out the <br />application <br />-- proactively visit businesses to try to gather support and <br />nominations. <br />Use a coupon-type form in the City newsletter to be sent <br />to City Hall and HRC member will contact them <br /> <br />Larissa Rippley will redesign the nomination form <br />
