<br />HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION MEETING <br />TUESDAY,JUNE 13, 1995 <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Chair Mike Trainor at 7:05 PM. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />RollCall <br />Members present: <br /> <br />Mike Trainor, Mike Hermes, Jill Bergquist, Larissa Rippley, Mary <br />Jean Turinia Anderson, Janet Henquinet, and Margaret Murpy <br />Maertz. <br /> <br />Members absent: <br /> <br />Susan Forsyth, Thelma McKenzie <br /> <br />Others present: <br /> <br />Nancy Rys-Nicol, Administrative Intern <br /> <br />Chair Trainor welcomed the new members to the commission. <br /> <br />HI. AllllrovalofMinutes <br />Motion by Hermes, seconded by Turinia Anderson, to approve the minutes of the May 9, <br />] 995, minutes. <br />Roll call: Ayes: all present Nays: none <br /> <br />IV. Bias/Hate Crimes <br />No report. <br /> <br />V. Cable <br />Mike Hermes asked members to provide input regarding a name for the monthly cable <br />television show and ideas for subject material. <br /> <br />VI. <br /> <br />Grievance U Ildate <br />No report. Chair Trainor requested that staff bring copies of the no fault grievance <br />booklet for the new members to the next meeting. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />VH. Commission Brochure <br />The final draft of the brochure was reviewed by the commission. Copies will be available <br />at city hall, recreation center, and library. <br /> <br />VIII. Other Business <br />A Chair Trainor announced that Bob Bancroft has resigned from the commission. <br />Chair Trainor requested that staff draft a letter to send to Stan Borden and Bob <br />Bancroft thanking them for their service on the commission. <br /> <br />B. Chair Trainor informed the commission that he received a letter from council <br />member Patricia Johnson. Council member Johnson thanked the commission for <br />their hard work. <br />
