<br />HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, JULY 11,1995 <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Chair Mike Trainor at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Members present: <br /> <br />Jill Bergquist, Susan Forsyth, Janet Henquinet, Mike Hermes, <br />and Mike Trainor. <br /> <br />Members absent: <br /> <br />Mary Jean Turinia Anderson, Thelma McKenzie, and Margaret <br />Murphy Maertz. <br /> <br />Others present: <br /> <br />Steve North, Staff Liaison. <br /> <br />III. A(Jproval of Minutes <br />Mike Hermes moved, Jill Bergquist seconded, that the minutes of the June 13, 1995, <br />meeting be approved with the following amendment: <br /> <br />Section VIII. Other Business, A. shall read as follows: <br /> <br />Chair Trainor announced that Bob Bancroft and Larissa <br />Rippley have resigned from the Commission. Chair <br />Trainor requested that staff draft a letter to send to Bob <br />and Larissa thanking them for their service on the <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes All present. Nays: None. <br /> <br />IV. Bias Hate Crimes <br />Mike Trainor indicated that the Police Department had provided him with a copy of <br />a flyer with a racist message that had been placed on cars in an apartment parking <br />lot on Rice Street. <br /> <br />V. Cable <br />Mike Hermes reported that he will be contacting other Human Rights Commissions <br />in the northeast metro area regarding possibly appearing on his Cable TV show <br />to discuss their activities. <br /> <br />VI. Grievance Update <br />No report. <br />
