Malark agreed that the sensitivity issues <br />addressed on the video were still relevant. <br /> <br />After extensive discussion the Commission decided the video should <br />address disability issues in the schools, and focus on: <br /> <br />1. The acknowledgment of what barriers have already been removed <br />through the operation of the ADA; <br />2. What additionally needs to be done; <br />3. Sensitivity issues. <br /> <br />It was also suggested that the video could include footage of a post - ADA <br />building, specifically the Maplewood Community Center. Mike Hermes agreed to <br />contact Gordy H. From Maplewood about using the Center. <br /> <br />Jill Bergquist agreed to contact Lee Bauer about the possibility of finding a <br />disabled student who would be willing to participate in the video. Chris Malark <br />agreed to contact RAMS to discuss the video idea. Thelma will try to locate a <br />WCCO news person who is involved with disabilities issues. <br /> <br />An ADA video subcommittee was set-up to include the following Commissioners: <br />Maggie Maertz, Mike Hermes, and Chris Malark. The Committee will schedule <br />separate meetings to clarify the creative direction of the video, and supervise <br />development of the project. <br /> <br />X. The Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />XI. Next Meetina <br />The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at 7:00 p.m. in Roseville City <br />Hall. <br />
