<br />HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION MINUTES <br />TUESDAY, JULY 8,1997 <br /> <br />1. Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order by Jill Bergquist. Acting Chair at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />2. Roll Call <br />Members present: Issac Afwerke, Jill Bergquist, Brenda Boily-Salmanpour. <br />Janet Henquinet, Michael Hermes, Michael Jordan, <br /> <br />Members absent: Susan Forsyth. Approval of Minutes <br />Brenda Boily-Salmanpour moved, Michael Jordan seconded. that the minutes of <br />the May 13, 1997 meeting be approved. <br /> <br />Roll Call, Ayes: All present <br /> <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />4. Committee Reports <br />A. Bias/Hate Crimes - Jill Bergquist had reviewed the materials that were <br />brought in by Michael Jordan regarding the No-Fault Grievance Process <br />from another city. She will compare the materials with Roseville's <br />response packet and suggest changes if necessary. <br /> <br />B. Cable TVNideo - Mike Hermes reported that the Rosefest parade was on <br />Cable TV and the Human Rights Essay Contest winners were highlighted <br />on the Commission's float. <br /> <br />For members interested in pursuing training for Cable TV production, CTV <br />offers orientation and basic classes and can sign up for the classes by <br />calling 481-9554. <br /> <br />Mike Hermes will contact the League of MN Human Rights Commissions <br />for accessibility to tapes to be played on Roseville's public access <br />channel. <br /> <br />C.
